HELI RSH4531 45 Ton Reach Stacker
The HELI RSH4531 is a heavy-duty container reach stacker designed to move and stack loaded containers efficiently while maintaining capacity across multiple container rows.
Rather than looking only at the headline 45 tonne rating, reach stacker selection should consider the container weight, stacking height and whether the container will be handled in the first, second or third row. The RSH4531 provides rated capacities of up to 45,000kg in the first row, 31,000kg in the second row and 15,000kg in the third row.
This makes it suitable for businesses handling loaded ISO containers where reach, stacking density and container yard efficiency are critical.
45 Tonne Reach Stacker Capacity
| Model | HELI RSH4531 |
| First Row Capacity | 45,000kg |
| Second Row Capacity | 31,000kg |
| Third Row Capacity | 15,000kg |
| Load Centres | 1965mm / 3850mm / 6400mm |
| Maximum Lift Height | 15,050mm |
| Minimum Turning Radius | 7,990mm |
Actual lifting capacity depends on container position, stacking height and operating configuration. Always refer to the manufacturer’s load chart for the required lift.
Built for Loaded Container Handling
A reach stacker gives operators the ability to handle containers beyond the first row, allowing better use of available yard space than equipment restricted to straight vertical container handling.
For container yards, ports, freight operations and industrial sites where loaded containers need to be moved, positioned and stacked efficiently, this combination of capacity and forward reach can significantly improve operational flexibility.

Volvo Diesel Power
The HELI RSH4531 is powered by a Volvo TAD1151 diesel engine, producing a rated output of 265kW at 2100rpm and rated torque of 1785Nm.
The powertrain is matched with a DANA 36000/TE27 transmission and Kessler drive axle, bringing together established heavy-equipment components for demanding container handling applications.
ELME Container Spreader
The RSH4531 uses an ELME 817 type container spreader designed specifically for reach stacker applications.
The spreader provides up to ±800mm sideshift and spreader rotation from -105° to +195°, giving operators greater control when aligning and positioning containers.
Precise spreader positioning is particularly important in busy container yards where operators may be working with tight stacking positions and repeated container movements.
Operator Visibility and Control
HELI has designed the RSH4531 cab around visibility, operator comfort and machine control. Large glazed areas provide a wide working view while the ergonomic control layout places major machine functions within easy reach of the operator.
The suspended adjustable seat and enclosed cab are designed to reduce fatigue during repetitive container handling work, while the machine interface allows operators to monitor the reach stacker’s operating status.
Safety and Load Management
Heavy container handling depends on more than lifting capacity. The RSH4531 incorporates an electronically controlled overload protection system designed to monitor machine conditions and help keep lifting within the operating range of the reach stacker.
A rear monitoring system assists the operator with visibility around the machine, while the machine’s structural design has been developed using computer-aided engineering, finite element analysis and dynamic simulation.

Is a 45 Ton Reach Stacker Right for Your Operation?
Choosing a reach stacker is not simply a matter of choosing the highest capacity machine. The correct specification depends on the maximum container weight, container dimensions, required stacking height, number of rows, yard layout and expected duty cycle.
For example, a machine rated to lift 45 tonnes in the first row will have a lower rated capacity as the container is moved further forward into the second or third row.
Tell Allied Forklifts what you are lifting, the container weight, how high you need to stack and how many rows you need to reach. Our team can review the application against the manufacturer’s load chart and determine whether the RSH4531 is suitable.
